About MeI am a multi-disciplinary theatre artist specializing in mask work and puppetry. I work as an actor, designer, director, and teacher. If you'd like to commission an original mask or mask set, please contact me at tony_fuemmeler @ yahoo.com. Also check my workshops and performances pages for the latest opportunities to take a class or see my work in action. What's New?The BIG news: Alice in Wonderland by Nomadic Theatre Co. I am the newest member of Nomadic, and we are performing a new adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic. All of the characters except Alice are performed in mask (I play the Mad Hatter and the Caterpillar), and the play is full witty wordplay and physical comedy! This show opened June 4 and runs for four weekends at the IFCC in North Portland. For more info, click here! Photos of masks will be up soon I recently completed masks for a production of Into the Woods in Portland and produced some Film Noir-inspired masks for an original solo performance in Kansas City. Check out my Masks pages for some photos. I have also been coordinating the efforts of Puppet Lab PDX, a development progam for new works in puppetry in collaboration with Tears of Joy Theatre. My other company, Simple Machines Theatre, recently debuted our experimental shadow puppet show called bugged. in the Fertile Ground Festival. We had an amazing turnout! Look for it in festivals this fall.
