About the show
Ordinary materials transform into hungry cities and giant insects.
Nature and technology evolve into each other. Bodies ebb in and out of
existence. You won’t see this anywhere else. You really won’t.
bugged. is a wordless journey in 3
segments through a
metamorphic micro-universe that premiered to sold-out houses in the
2010 Fertile Ground Festival. Drawing on graphic novels, science
fiction and silent movies, two puppeteers use ordinary materials to
animate a multi-layered shadow-world of insects and humankind
struggling for survival. Set to a live electronic soundtrack by Jason
Miranda, bugged. is an experimental shadow
puppet show that explores
the creepy-crawlies of contemporary culture. This show is recommended
for audience members 13 and older.
